Why I Became a Counsellor — And Why Soulign Was Created

There has always been a part of me deeply drawn to people’s inner worlds.. their emotions, their stories, their struggles, and the quiet things they carry that often go unseen.
Becoming a counsellor was never just about choosing a career. It came from a genuine desire to create spaces where people could feel emotionally safe, understood, and accepted without judgment.
Over the years, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, grief, burnout, relationship struggles, self-worth, and the overwhelming pressure of trying to hold everything together while silently struggling inside.
One thing I have learned through both life and counselling is that healing is not linear. Growth can feel messy, uncomfortable, emotional, and deeply vulnerable. But I also believe healing can be beautiful. It can look like finally resting. Setting boundaries. Learning to regulate your nervous system. Choosing yourself for the first time. Becoming who you needed when you were younger.
That belief is what led me to create Soulign.
Soulign was born from the idea of souls aligning—reconnecting
with yourself emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I wanted to create something that felt softer than traditional wellness spaces. A brand and practice that combined emotional healing with creativity, self-expression, and comforting aesthetics. Somewhere mental wellness could feel approachable, calming, and even empowering.
For me, counselling is not about “fixing” people. It is about helping people understand themselves more deeply, feel supported through difficult seasons, and build lives that feel more aligned, peaceful, and authentic.
As Soulign continues to grow, I’m also stepping into a new chapter personally and professionally with my move to Vancouver.
This transition represents growth, expansion, and new opportunities — both for myself and for the future of Soulign. Vancouver has always inspired me creatively with its balance of nature, emotion, movement, and energy. Moving here feels aligned with the vision I have for this brand and the life I want to continue building.
With this next chapter, I hope to continue creating meaningful counselling spaces while expanding Soulign into more than just a practice — into a community and lifestyle rooted in healing, emotional awareness, softness, and self-expression.
Whether you are here for counselling, mental wellness resources, journals, clothing, or simply a reminder to protect your peace, I’m grateful you found your way here.
Healing looks different for everyone, but you do not have to navigate it alone.
Welcome to Soulign.
Protect Your Peace.
